Intelligence

What is intelligence? Is memory part of intelligence? When you think of a person as intelligent or smart what traits does that person have?

  1. Intelligence is defined in many different ways. It is mainly defined as having to ability to understand, comprehend, learn, communication, reasoning, and having emotional knowledge. Normally when a person is considered "intelligent" he/she is knowledgable, can problem-solve, and can easily understand methods and use them in the appropriate situations.

    1. Memory is merely a part of intelligence. Remembering information can increase your intelligence, but actually using this information in situations is the difference between the two. One reason intelligence is hard to define is mainly because we identify some animals as intelligent, and some unintelligent. But we also say people can be unintelligent, which again tests the definition of intelligence.

intellagence is what you know. memory is what makes up intellagence. I think of a person as intellagent or smart when he or she makes the best decitions when faceing challenges.

  6. Intelligence is a high level of knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge. Memory is a part of intelligence because if you forgot everything, how are you supposed to know 2+2=4? Someone could tell you that but you'd forget it, thus diminishing your level of intelligence. If a person is intelligent or smart they generally make good decisions about everything.

You could tell if a person is intelligent by how they act upon different situations. If they have the chance to make a bad decision but they make the best one you could tell that they are intelligent. If they make the bad decision then other bad choices are sure to be made.

  10. What is intelligence?

That's a broad question! You can have academic intelligence, social intelligence, or other types. I'll say "skill ability in problem solving" is a good phrase to sum up intelligence. Memory is important to one's ability in problem solving so I would consider it part of intelligence. Now here's a question: does the ability to preform decide whether your intelligence. Person A could know how to fix a car, but could lack the ability to (ex. have no arms to work with - ouch). Would you consider this person intelligent?

  12. Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. Memory is not a part of intelligence. If a person is intelligent or smart, some traits they could have could be that they are good observers, and listeners. They also are positive, and are willing to learn and know more.

  13. Intelligence is knowing things, remembering things and being able to use the knowledge. Memory is part of intelligence. When I think of an intelligent person I don't think of someone learning things you would in school but common sense and something you would need to actually live not math or something.
