Respiratory System 5

When we studied the circulatory system we learned about some of the people who contributed to the scientific knowledge about the circulatory system. Scientist and doctors such as Jarvik , Harvey, and Galen all helped us to better understand the heart and how it works. Who has helped us understand more about the respiratory system?

    Joseph Priestley

He is usually credited with the discovery of oxygen, having isolated it in its gaseous state, although Carl Wilhelm Scheele and Antoine Lavoisier also have a claim to the discovery.[2]

One person that I can think of off the top of my mind would be Joseph Priestly who discovered the first oxygen molecules. also, Antoine Laurent Lavoisier, was a scientist who first established the role of oxygen.
